Too Big of a Map?

so there is not much left to optimize..

there are some minor tweaks but they will probably not help in that case. for example I highly optimized rendering grass and tree leaves for the next release. you could try if setting "particles and details" to "few" changes anything (if yes: chances are good that the next version will run better).

Untested on other clients' sides
I had one run with HUGE map with a friend, was shitload ammount of lags, that was looong time ago, so i dont remember what happened, maybe game became frozen in loading screen.

you could try if setting "particles and details" to "few" changes anything (if yes: chances are good that the next version will run better).
The answer is no, I tried that already. It did not help.
