This really makes sense to remake old maps to the better ones. They fit the new smn's skins included by DC as SD now. Anyway the old ones(maps) is not going anywhere and you can play'em with old skins. Anyway better to play(as Jite: said before) with better gfx'ed map and i'm with him.
@ 1uP: it's a nice try and not fail i'll tell you.
@ Jite: maybe some decals would make the map not so empty.. maybe broken roads.. some trapdoors, planks on the floor etc.
@ 1uP: I don't force anyone to like my stuff, but what you've said seems to be senseless. Don't you know the sense of a remake? At one side it contains a new creation of a specific map which is similar to the original map, however it has some tactical changes for a better gameplay. The second point of a remake can be a graphical change.
I only did a graphical change, that sense behind it, is that I don't like the tiles from the original map and it hurts my eyes while playing on it. That's it, so it is not pointless.
I did not work with tileset quality, but in my version works lua scritpts for ramp. And at this moment I try to work lua scritps for shooting through teleports and walls.
So i think we can improve this map.
It looks like a more realistic improvement of the current tiles. You've succeeded in remaking them. Good job. Keep on working on mapping, you'll be quite advanced sooner or later.
