He just has to take it lightheartedly and respond. If the person means harm, joking about it will surely help. I've seen people do what Yates said multiple times (and I did it before too). It's one of the most common ways to respond to criticism. Either you're misinterpreting it or your reasoning is weird (not wrong. weird.)

Jokes aside, you shouldn't really care about jokes addressed to you, just laugh it off and you'll be fine. And hey, saying "offensive" things among friends is normal, I usually call them faggots and they do the same. Nothing special.

or you could do this calculation (mother's height) + (father's Height) divided by 2 = your results +12

For me

178 + 165/2 + 12= 183.5
But I grew more..YAYA

Even look at Actor Kevin Costner he grew at 18 5'4 to 6'1
