I've got a few questions regarding making A.I. in CS2D.

I wonder if it's a good idea to use images with an A.I., considering the way CS2D is designed.

I know it would be slow, but I wonder how slow would that be?
I know about A* A.I., but is it the fastest one? Or is there another reason for it to be the best choice?

I'm really clueless here, I simply want to know how to make my images move around like the bots do, once they do, I can make more advanced A.I. features and go from there.

So the point of this thread:
If I want to make images move like A.I., what should be the best approach?
