Reloading your weapon IS server-sided

I said ammo-hack, so you dont have to reload... or is that SS? I though only the clips and reloads are SS. Not the in-loaded-ammo....

Oh Yeah. Speedhack.

@DC. Trust me, if you make your game hard enough to hack people will stop eventually. Look at maple story, they've scared away almost all hackers (which was their main public so they don't have much players now xD).

The best protection against hackers is a good server with a good admin.

Apparently that protection is not helping much. Yes, its the most trusted anti-hack protection, but there aren't many admins on public servers. Players themselves can become admins by voting to kick an hacker (omg i wrote admin instead of hacker), but there are still some newbies that don't even know how to fire. More than half of the team doesn't vote to kick an hacker for some unknown reason.

How I see it, the best protection is the USGN. You just need to check "USGN only" and ban every hacking username you find. They will have to exit the game and remake an account if they want to hack, but I'm not sure are they gonna even bother.

The only problem to USGN is that you won't (maybe) get many players to your server. Thats mostly because some people don't even know how to register... You won't have any newbies luckily

I said it already. I think if we make USGN a network like Steam with the VAC (that would be the USAC ) we would have no problems. But the I don't think that will happen.

i think there wass somting like a pyron network, when a hacker gets banned then he is banned on more servers.
Why dont we make a hacker list in cs2d(0.1.1.8) if a hacker is in this list he cant play on server who enable it.

why you stop thinking in the middle of you thoughts...a hacker could easily rename himself, and when somebody is banned just because an accident, he would be banned on any server too. not the best protection, because it wouldnt work and the hacker would find a method to override this protection

What if nobody does that?
and how can you be so sure he would overide this thing too?
Hackers are not the people that make hacks
they are merely people who use hacks and dont know nothing about it
If you want a hacker proof server then dont open dedicated servers and always use USGN only option
Then BAM ban the hacker

I think usgn - only is the best method.

If you then catch a hacker he might be to lazy to register a new account over and over again.

He cannot register a new account
only one account is valid
So if DC finds this out he will probably ban him from USGN too

yes but you can't ban USGN user for real deal. He only needs to change his IP and register another account. DC can't know if the new IP is hackers or someone from the same country as the hacker is.
Maybe the best method is to contact ISP of the hacker and find his IP in the log, and then find who he is and what does he do.
But that takes days...

A real cracker would use proxies.
And yes, Hackers are good people. Many people mix up Hackers with Crackers. Hackers build something and Crackers destroy 'em.

Hmm.... not realy. Not always. I more like the black / white / gray - hat thing.

I also cracked game software and stuff like that. That doesnt mean I was doing evil stuff. I did it for fun and educational purpose. Most people dont even write the hacks theyr using.
Just some wanne-bees.

Yes, but CS2D cheaters aren't crackers nor hackers, they are just fags that download hacks (when they could be downloading viruses) and the most complicated thing they know about computers is how to turn them on.
I'd really doubt they would know how to use a proxy (or even know what a proxy is)
