But I am playing many games without problems.
High graphics games: 640x480 or 800x600
Mid graphics games: 1024x769 or 1152x864
Low graphics games: 1280x1024 or 1360x768
I mean, I don't rly play at all. Maybe some minecraft, CS2D, Project Zomboid, TLS:DZ (google it ) and Terraria.

1280x800 on my Laptop.
800x600 when programming.

Nope, I don't play games on my laptop other than CS2D. Use it for programming and school.
But on my desktop, I sometimes have some FPS drops, which i guess screen resolution could solve (:

I picked 800*600, though my desktop runs at 1920*1024 the res I run games are 800*600 --> it's stretched to fit the screen --> black bars up&down
