I received many messages about people crashing CS2D servers. I worked on a fix asap but I'm not sure if it will solve the problem.

I uploaded the fixed version for Linux dedicated servers:

the previous version is also available if anything goes wrong:

notice that this fix addresses the attack which destroys the connectivity of the server (it doesn't respond to any network messages after this attack) but keeps the server running. it does not address attacks which completely crash the server process.

please try it and give me some feedback.

I do hope this works, though I don't own any servers I don't like people crashing servers I'm currently on.

It's possible that it's casued by the map itself, if you add an explosion without a delay--spammers can crash the clients joined on the server.

edit: aww crap you are right. this must be caused by the new blitzmax version or did I compile it with the wrong flags...

Same with other actions such as serveraction, etc.


The use key isnt really that spammable on a regular server. now on servers like [N~] Prision i can see your point.

And the culprit is also known by few, but his stopped that way I hope

Doesn't seem to be working, my servers were offline, i put them up a few minutes later they were all down.
