There is a mod for CS2D (not skins or Lua, it's another game based on CS2D's source code) called Counter-Strike: Sourcelike 2D (kinda stupid name, simply Counter-Strike 2D: Source would be better) which development stopped (what a shame :() but you can find it here: http://sites.google.com/site/cssourcelike2d/
for now its slow in development since im helping NTD with his HL2D mod but I do have plans in the future of making a full mini mod pack for CS2D.
I am also seriously considering making a standalone CS:S 2D using the 1.0 version of CS2Ds engine. It would have better physics, layered maps, CS1.6/source like weapon characteristics, scope zoom beyond players normal view, & much more.
Its not much atm but I am working at it slowly but working none the less.
well its only going to be 3 downloads for the Beta skins with each one being different since im experimenting with different possibilities.
The final Mod will be all in just 1 DL if possible since the final mod will be a total conversion. part 3 of my beta skins will have different player models that the rest so yea they are different.
Im just making multiple uploads to get ppls feed back on each version to see which is the best.
I dont mean Source-like skin !
I mean to upgrade phisic in CS2D.
Maybe with LUA(but thats be a realy hard).
More easy to change the source code of real CS2D.

those skins were just to give you an idea of what im planing. Im making my own version of CS2D called CS:S 2D using the old version 1.0 CS2D with its source code & work my up from there. Right now its just in the planing stage but yea I dont think anyone else is thinking about something like this other than me.
also its impossible to do what you are asking for with lua you would need the current versions source code & DC will never give that up.

well right now its only in the planing stages as im also helping NTD with his Half Life 2D mod.
But more or less My version of CS2D will have things like headshot system, 3d look to players & weapon models, More balanced weapon physics to better mimic CS1.6 & or CS:S weapons, active camera movement for the players IE the map would turn not the player model exc, & Im also considering a crouch/prone system as well as sniper scope zoom beyond the players normal field of view.
Lua scripting will be needed after the basic prototype versionof the game is created via blitz basic & the open source version of CS2D 1.0
But again its still in the planing stages as im deciding which features would be worth while to ad to the game.
